As Canon Provost, Mr. Hooker and his Cathedral Chapter staff are responsible for the physical plant of the Cathedral Close. He is a graduate of Maine Maritime Academy in Engineering with a lifelong interest in historic machinery especially steam engines. He lives with his family in Detroit's Corktown and sings alto in the Cathedral Choir of Men and Boys.

In addition to staffing the Cathedral's front desk in the Gallery, Mrs. Washelewski is responsible for maintaining the Cathedral's schedule of room bookings. A lifelong Episcopalian, Dori is a member of Grace Church Southgate.
