The Cathedral Music Society announces a special series of chamber music offerings featuring Michigan composers and performers:
Friday, October 4, 7:30 p.m.
The Michigan Recital Project
A song celebration of Michigan's culture and heritage, with pieces for voice, flute, and piano by Michigan composers, including the Detroit premiere of "Detroit," a song cycle by Scott Ordway. The Woodward Corridor Musicians in concert
An afternoon of chamber music by one of Detroit's premiere ensembles. The program will include selections for classical guitar duo, and a rare performance of Beethoven's Septet, Op. 20 for winds and strings.
Sunday, November 17, 3:00 p.m.
Arabesque in memoriam.....music for flute and piano
This program will feature Claude Debussy's Epigraphes Antiques, as well as Phillip Glass' work for solo flute, In memoriam.
Suggested donation at the door for each program: $10 (adults), $5 (students and seniors).
