Episcopal RSS Feeds
What is RSS?
An RSS file is basically a list of headlines or article titles or events encoded so that it can be used by another program or website. RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication".
Why Should I Use RSS?
Imagine you want to check news headlines each morning. And check the weather. And read the comics. And so on. Rather than visit separate web sites for each task, you can do all of this using RSS.
The programs that know what to do with RSS files are called "news aggregators" or "news readers." They let you read headlines from dozens or hundreds of news sites at one time. You simply plug in the addresses of the RSS files you want.
So to received RSS feeds you download a News Reader - there are many free ones - and subscribe to the feeds you are interested in - there are thousands to chose from and the News Reader software lets you search for feeds.
NOTE: IE 7and Firefox include RSS support.
